Angie’s nickname instead of grandma is “Mimi”. Today Mimi was asked to watch our granddaughter. Our son had the day off and it sounds like he was exhausted and needed some sleep, which our granddaughter isn’t allowing much.
I was busy working remote from home upstairs and heard some piercing cries. I popped down to see what was going on and if I could help. Mimi was making a baba and our granddaughter wasn’t having any of the delays. I picked up our howling granddaughter and held her close. She wasn’t totally over being upset, but she wasn’t as insistent. She’s such a cute little peanut. I grabbed her binky from the coffee table and offered it and that seemed to calm her for a few seconds, but not many beyond that. She must have been hungry, and once Mimi was done preparing the baba, I passed our granddaughter over and she calmed right down in Mimi’s arms while emptying the bottle.
